I found my sewing machine!

Hey yall. After seeing what all Chrissy has made with her new sewing machine (see The Story of Us on the right), I decided I wanted to break out my sewing machine. I bet I haven't used it in 5 years, but I managed to find all the parts and the book (since I can't remember how to use it). I went to Wal-Mart last night and bought the supplies to make a bag. Here it is!
I love how it turned out! I had to improvise a few times cuz I couldn't figure out what they were telling me to do.
I'm kinda scared of zippers. They take more skill than I currently possess, but I can live with the results.

It was so much fun! I'll definitely be making something again soon. Gotta eat some dinner now. Have a good evening!

Baby Shower invites

Hey yall. I hope your Wednesday is going great. This evening I'm gonna share one of the baby shower invitations I made Tuesday evening. The picture is not great, but we are getting them in the mail tomorrow, so this was my only chance to take a picture.

I made 37 of these. Since I knew I was gonna have to make so many, I picked a simple design. I love how they turned out. I hope the other hostesses like what I came up with. Jason helped out by printing all the details on the inside. Now to just address them all...

I actually made some cards!

Two days in a row to post! Yep, you guessed it, I've scheduled this post. Monday night I made 3 cards. The 2 Halloween images I actually colored last week while I was watching Twilight. My awesome friend Barb in Oregon sent me the House Mouse stamp.

Next I've got a card I made using an image from a Copic friendly image swap on SCS. The paper is from last year's Creative Memories 8 x 8 Halloween pack.
The last card I have is one I made for my co-worker's granddaughter for her 11th birthday. I just love the dresses! It's from one of my favorite Stampin' Up sets that I think is called Simply Sweet.

I hope yall enjoyed looking at my latest creations. I'll be working on baby shower invitations on Tuesday evening. Hopefully I'll remember to take a picture of one!

Family Pics

Hey yall. Sorry I haven't been updating lately, but we have been so busy! Tonight I'm gonna share our family pictures we had made at the church a few weeks ago. We actually bought the CD instead of just ordering pictures so we can print whatever we want.
Aren't those boys just precious! That particular family pose is not necessarily my favorite one, but it's the only one rotated to show up right instead of sideways. Thanks for looking!

Trifle Bowl

Hey yall. I know it's been a while since I've been on here. I wanted to show yall the trifle bowl I made for a girl at church who's getting married.

We went to my mom & dad's house this past weekend to visit my brother and meet his new "friend." Here is a picture of Mike & Gina with Joey.

Anthony playing with Daddy and Andy. Mike also brought his dog Holly, so Anthony was in dog heaven.

A few weeks ago Kemp and Jaime came by with their 2 boys. Don't they all 4 look like brothers! Gabe is 2 and Brady is 5, so the ages fit with Anthony and Joey.
From left to right--Gabriel, Anthony, Brady, & Joey. Maybe eventually I'll have a little girl to match the one she's having in November...

Charger Plate

Hey yall. I made another charger plate, but this time I used gold vinyl on the red plate. I like how it turned out, but I'm hoping you can tell the letter is C. Please excuse all the fingerprints. That's the only thing I don't like about these glossy plates--they show every fingerprint.

I need to figure out some Christmas ideas to do with charger plates. Maybe a nativity silhouette. Thanks for looking!

Quilled Qreations Swap

I got my paper quilling swap back this evening and the cards were all great! We all did something very different, but still all quilled, which is the art of coiling strips of paper.

Aren't they beautiful! I usually get a swap back and am a little disappointed, but not this time! I will definitely be inspired by these works of art.

Happy Birthday Jodie!

Today is my friend Jodie's birthday. She works in my department. Here's the card and tiles I made for her. I downloaded a silhouette font and cut one of the images with my Cricut.

Happy Birthday Jodie!!!
