Operation Christmas Child

Happy Sunday to yall! Today after church we packed up boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Each box is delivered to a child in another part of the world. The children who receive these boxes live in terrible conditions and most have never received a present before. We packed the boxes, then prayed over them. Here are some pictures of the boys with the boxes.

We enjoy getting the opportunity to help out kids around the world while teaching our kids some valuable lessons about how blessed we are here. It's a great way to start out the Christmas season. Hopefully this will inspire others to help those in need. Have a great afternoon!

Fluffles Turkey

Hey yall. After a long day of reading, napping, and playing on Facebook, I finally decided to stamp something. I used my Fluffles Turkey stamp that Barb sent me. It's definitely one of my favorite stamps.
I also have some pictures of my anniversary presents. The flowers Jason bought are still beautiful. I'm probably gonna take them to work on Monday.

Here is a picture of my laptop. I am really enjoying it. I'm sure I'll enjoy it even more once I learn all the new things about Windows 7. I really love the number keypad on the right side of the keyboard.

That's it for tonight. I've gotta go defend myself because Jason thinks it's funny that I'm showing my imaginary friends pictures of my computer. And he's sitting right next to me trying to tell me to take him off my blog. Yeah, whatever. Not scared. Have a good evening!

The best hubby in the world!

Hey yall. Sorry to disappoint those of you who thought you had the best husband, cuz you don't--I do! Not only did he buy me flowers and a beautiful card for our 10 year anniversary which is tomorrow, but he bought me a new laptop! I've been trying to save some money to buy myself a new laptop. The old one I was using didn't have the capabilities to run Inkscape, which I need to get more use out of SCAL and my Cricut. This laptop has Windows 7, which seems pretty cool from the commercials on tv. Hopefully it won't take long to figure out how to run SCAL with the new Windows, but I'll need to do some online research. One of the coolest features is that the keyboard has the 10-key number keypad to the right of the keyboard, perfect for the accountant in me. He also told me he has arranged for the kids to stsay with my grandparents tomorrow night so we can go to dinner at The Warehouse, which is where we had our first date in March 1999. Anyway, it's kinda hard to see what all this computer will do while I'm blogging, so I gotta go! Happy Anniversary Jason!!!

Another week has passed...

Well, here we are, another week later and I'm just now posting. I haven't made anything in what feels like ages. Work has been crazy. I still love my job, but I've been spending more time than usual there lately. I've got an awesome calendar idea in my head, but I'm not sure when I'll get to it. I do have great news--I've had a few sales at Bayou Crafters! At the end of October I sold 2 fleur de lis champagne flutes. When I received my statement for the $15 I pay monthly for rent, I only owed $4.22. I went in yesterday to pay it and discovered my canister set had sold this past week! At the end of November instead of getting a bill for my monthly rent I'll actually get a check for what I made over my rent! I'm so excited. I need to get some more stuff up there, but I haven't decided what to make for Christmas items. Of course then I've got to find the time to make it. Anyhow, no pictures today (sorry Uncle John), just me rambling on. I hope yall have a great week!

Happy Halloween!

I hope everyone had a great Halloween last night. I think it was the most fun Halloween ever. In addition to my cousin Samantha and her kids Alysa & Luke, we also had my cousin Ashley, her husband Keith, his brother Adam, and our friend BreAnne over to visit and then trick or treat. Our friends Cherie, Patrick, Macy, & Zak also went trick or treating with us. Here are a few pictures of our exciting evening.

First up we have Alysa the bumblebee and Anthony the Tigger in the wagon. They insisted on getting in the wagon between every house.

Here's Tigger and Joey the Spiderman in action. I know they look all sweet, but Anthony would tell the candy givers that he could do it himself and try to get his own candy. A few times he gave them back their candy and told them he didn't like that kind. While they stared in shock, he picked out the pieces he did want. Of course last year he was only old enough to say, "I want more" at every house. They grow up so fast.

I'm not sure Luke the giraffe ever realized we left the house. He was adorable though!

Here we have Adam, Keith, Ashley, & BreAnne at the fun fest at church. I managed to score them some awesome farm animal finger puppets. During the cake walk, Keith won an awesome cake that they named Heaven. It was still warm from the oven, so we tried it. It was half gone before we left the church.
Last, I have a picture of Keith & Adam trick or treating. I think they had more fun than the little kids. They ended up with lots of candy. We had a great time with all of our visitors. Keep in mind that I'm squeaking with my lack of a voice the whole time they were here. I'm gonna try to be quiet today so I can get my voice back, but yall know that's hard for me. I hope everyone enjoys today and doesn't eat too much candy!

Our visitors

Good afternoon! Our visitors arrived around lunch time today. Here are some pictures of Joey and Anthony with my cousin Samantha's kids Alysa & Luke.

Jason is enjoying having a baby around. He changed Luke's diaper and then fed him a bottle. Anthony & Alisa enjoyed playing legos together. They were both humming and singing while they played. They're all gonna go trick or treating tonight. Joey is Spiderman, Anthony is Tigger, Alisa is a bumblebee ballerina, and Luke is a giraffe. I'll try to get the pictures up tomorrow. Yall have a wonderful Halloween!

Playhouse Disney Live

Hey yall. First of all, I would like to clarify yesterday's statement--Uncle John does know how to read and does take the time to read (or skim) my blog, he just likes the pictures best. I'm sure it's because my boys are so cute. Tonight we went to Playhouse Disney Live. Here some pictures.

The show was great. Well, it was ok. The great part was seeing Anthony's face. He really enjoyed himself. Joey said he loved it too, I just wasn't sitting close enough to him to see. Too bad there's not a Phineas & Ferb Live. We would be all over that one. Anyway, I'm worn out from working all day, going to the show, and enduring all the ridicule from Joey about my lack of voice. Yep, you should have heard him chanting, "You can't yell, you can't yell" after he drove me insane. Thank goodness they've calmed down (finally) while watching our favorite show. I'm gonna sneak off to bed. Got lots of company coming tomorrow, so I need my rest. Good night!
