Altered tin & new shoes

Good evening yall! One of my co-workers bought a tin with 16 notecards on sale and gave me the notecards! She said the notecards made her think of me (she's my biggest card buyer) and that all she really wanted was the tin. There was a cute paper design on top, but the store put a sticker on it and ruined it. I told her I would put some other paper on the top. Here's what I did.

Of course I couldn't just do the top and stop there, so I did the edges.

You can't tell from the pictures, but these chipboard pieces are super sparkly. I finished the edges and still wanted to do more, so I did the inside of the lid.

I think it turned out so cute! I'm sure she'll love it. I didn't do much to the top because she was wanted to put something on top of the box. I was afraid to add bulky stuff in case she did want to stack something on it.

On to the new shoes I mentioned in the title--I bought them a few weeks ago and have been telling Aunt Pat I would show her a picture. They came from Wal-Mart, so they were not overly expensive.

Aren't they cute! I have a thing for Mary Jane type shoes and these had enough of the Mary Jane look to catch my eye. I didn't buy them the first time I admired them, but I went back a week later to get them. They also had them in black, but the brown was so much prettier.

I hope yall are having a great evening. I'm heading to bed now.
