I'm home!

Hey yall. We finally made it back home yesterday evening. I'm about to go join the boys in the pool, but wanted to share a few pictures from our vacation. We haven't uploaded the last day or two of pictures, but I'll get to those soon.

Here are the boys getting ready for one of the 3-D shows we watched.

They LOVED the fountains at Epcot. They were pretty cool the way the water jumped from one place to another.
Here's our table at the Coral Reef restaurant. We were right next to the aquarium tank and got to see fish, sharks, sea turtles, and stingrays while we were eating. In fact, one of the stingrays came and laid down next to Anthony while we ate.
Gotta go now. I hope yall are having a great weekend. I'm looking forward to the regular routine of work on Monday. Vacation was fun, but I miss the peace and quiet of my cubicle. I'm sure I'll change my mind by 8:30am (I usually get to work at 8:15am).

Happy Memorial Day!

I hope yall are having a great Monday. We went to Hollywood Studios today. Anthony loved the Playhouse Disney show and Joey loved the Indiana Jones stunt spectacular. The boys are at the pool swimming right now. I rested a little and then took a long nice shower. We might be going to Downtown Disney tonight, but I'm not sure. We went to Magic Kingdom yesterday and it was a madhouse. I don't have the half a forever to wait to upload a picture, but we saw some awesome stuff today. I hope the rest of your long weekend is fun!

Rain, rain, go away

We had a good day at Epcot today. We came back to the Port Orleans and had dinner. The boys were gonna go swimming then, but now it's coming a huge thunderstorm. Now we're all trapped in the room. Jason and Anthony are taking a bath. I finally got a picture to load--here's us with Mickey.
So far we've gotten to see Stitch, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, Donald Duck, Chip, & Dale. We say Daisy, but didn't get in line for her autograph or picture.

The Finding Nemo stuff seemed to be the kids' favorites. Joey loved the clamshell ride--we did it twice. Anthony was most impressed with the aquariums. We were sitting next to the glass watching the fish when a dolphin swam right past us and scared us! We also got to see some huge sea turtles, 2 manatees, some stingrays, and more fish. We really had fun, but I am worn out. The rest of the family still seems a little hyper if you ask me. I've gotta try to get reconnected to the internet via Jason's Blackberry, but thanks for coming to check out what we've been doing. Have a great evening!

Morning comes early here...

Good morning yall. I knew I wasn't gonna get to sleep in here, but wow, I wasn't ready to get up at 7:30am. I've already had my bath this morning and I'm about to finish getting ready. I think we're going to Epcot today. We don't have any snacks in the room yet (Russell is taking Jason to Wal-Mart this evening), so I brought our little bit of leftovers back to the room last night (some fries, 2 chicken nuggets, and the crust off a piece of kids pizza). Anthony eats constantly and I knew he wouldn't understand that we didn't have a constant food supply. He worked on the leftovers before bed last night and has already gotten it out of the fridge this morning. Ok, I was trying to load pictures but it still won't work. Aunt Pat--you can check out Jason's facebook. He said he uploaded some pictures this morning. Gotta finish getting ready. Yall have a great day!

We made it!

Hey yall. After a long day of flying with no time for lunch, we made it to Disney World. The boys did great on the 2 plane trips. Anthony slept during the second flight for about an hour and a half. I would love to upload some pictures, but the internet is being quite slow. It's about bedtime now (just after 9pm here, but 8pm home time), so maybe I'll be patient enough to sit here and load pictures tomorrow. Hope you're having a great evening!

Baby card

Hey yall. I made a card on Wednesday night for my cousin's baby shower this weekend. We won't be there since we're on vacation, but I thought the card turned out so cute.

His name is Luke Anthony. I probably should have warned her what might happen if she names him Anthony, but maybe our little wild one is just an isolated incident. Anyway, just wanted to share a quick card.

My clean house

Hey yall. It's been a crazy-busy week. We supercleaned Monday night because a realtor was supposed to take pictures of our house Tuesday evening, but she never showed up. I told Jason he should go ahead and take pictures so that next time she wants to show pictures of our house we'll have some ready. Here are a few pictures of our beautifully clean house.

Just to give you some perspective, here's what the house looks like when we bought it 4 years ago.

The kitchen counters used to be a country rose color and the cabinets were stained. We also replaced the laminate floors with tile, tore down the spindles, and painted over the wallpaper. Next we have a picture of the master bedroom. The walls were mustard yellow and the ceilings were blue with clouds.

The boys are home and exhausted, so we're gonna put them to bed now. I probably won't get a chance to blog again before Disney World, so I'll catch yall when I get back. Have a wonderful evening!

Crop 4 the Cure

Hey yall. I had a great time this weekend at Crop 4 the Cure. I managed to get 24 pages done and demonstrated glass etching several times. I also met several new friends, including one named Tonya who makes her own candles. I gave her a few wine glasses Saturday night and she poured candles into them. On Sunday we etched images on them.

Didn't they turn out great? She wasn't sure how the candle process would work with such thin glass since the candles have to be finished in the oven or microwave, but they did great. We also tried putting the vinyl on the opposite side of the candle.

Doesn't my chocolate cupcake in the background look yummy? Anyway, we might look to do some projects together in the future. The candles smell so good. The green one is a new scent that she hasn't named yet. It's got bayberry and tangerine. I forget what the other fragrance is, but it smells good too. I gotta get to bed now. I unpacked all my stuff from this weekend and didn't realize how late it was. The boys were at Momma & Daddy's house this weekend and now they're at Aunt Pat's house. We've got lots to do here before we leave for Disney World on Friday. Hopefully I'll have time to check back with yall. Have a great week!

Congratulations Joey!

We just got home from Joey's awards presentation and lunch with my parents. Joey got awards for straight A's, reading, and perfect attendance. We are so proud of him! Here's a picture of Joey and his teacher, Mrs. Collins.

He is so proud of his little trophy! He carried it in Chili's for lunch and would only let Nanny and Pappy hold it to look at it for just a second. Here's a picture of Joey and me at his school.

I'm the gorgeous red head next to the handsome straight A kid. I've gotta pack the kiddos' clothes for Nanny & Pappy's house and then pack all my scrappin' stuff so I can go to Crop 4 the Cure. Of course all of that will have to wait until after I get a nap. I've had a great day so far, but I still managed to get a headache. Aunt Pat, I'll call you later. Andrea, stop by the convention center this weekend and see me! Good call on the red, by the way. I've always felt like a true red head on the inside, even if everyone else thought I was a true blonde deep down inside! Hopefully I'll be back to post some pics of my scrapbooking, but if not just know that I'm having fun. Only 1 week until Disney!!! Have a great day. Oh, I almost forgot, a big congrats goes out to Jason's little brother Sam, who is graduating from LSU today with his Master's degree. We missed having Jason's parents here with us for Joey's ceremony, but having multiple academic achievements in the family is a great problem to have! Catch yall later!

Patience!

Ok Andrea & Aunt Pat. Yall are gonna have to wait a little longer to see the hair color. I'll get some pictures with Joey at his awards ceremony tomorrow. Gotta go--Anthony is screaming and fighting his daddy because he doesn't want to get washed in the tub. Sounds like bedtime to me. Hope everyone has a scream free evening at their house.

Good evening

Hey yall. Just a quick post to say hello. I got a rocking new hairdo today. Actually, the hairdo isn't the spectacular part, the color is. Gotta read a bedtime story to the kiddos. Catch you later!

My Clean Desk

Hey yall. I'm finally back to post pictures of my clean crafty area. Of course it's not clean anymore since I just made 2 cards, but oh well.

Those pictures loaded so slow that I actually almost got my desk cleaned back up while I was waiting!
I was determined to make a card using my new nesties tonight. Here's what I came up with.
Nothing spectacular, but I guess they all can't be masterpieces. I really should have stopped there because it only got worse with the next one.
I started to not even finish this one, but I had cut the paper and I didn't want to waste it. Plus there's someone on SCS with a new weekly feature called "Card Wrecks" which is fashioned after Cake Wrecks, one of my favorite blogs. I'm gonna send this one in to her. Who knows, maybe I'll win worst card of the week. I'm kinda tired from all the lack of creativity and bright colors burning my eyes, so I'm calling it a night. See yall tomorrow!

Wedding card

I just finished up my cards for May's card swap I'm in on SCS. May's theme was wedding or flowers. I've had an idea in my head for quite some time now for a wedding dress card. I finally sketched it out a few different ways and then cut one out on Saturday. I was very happy with it, so I used it to do the May cards.

I was a little concerned at first about how wide the waist area was, but once I put the ribbon on it looked better. They were quite easy to make. I thought they needed a little touch of color, so I chose pastel ribbons instead of just white. I like how simple they are. Let me know what you think. I might try to put together a tutorial on how to make them.
Since my crafting area is somewhat clean I decided to take a few pictures. Of course I'm on the older laptop right now and it is not cooperating. I guess you'll have to see those later. I better get this posted before it really gets to acting up. Check back tomorrow for the pictures.

Happy Mother's Day

Hey yall. I finally took a picture of my Mother's Day present this evening.

These tulips are getting prettier every day. I got them on Saturday and they were beautiful closed. They have been slowly opening. I also got some Reese's peanut butter cups, rolos, a card, 2 steaks (cooked tonight), and a gift card to Hobby Lobby. I didn't figure yall needed pictures of any of those. I did work on cleaning my scrapbook area last night, so I decided to put the tulips there for when I craft. By the way -- Aunt Pat, I've got a TON of stuff ready to bring to you on Friday since I've been cleaning out. Also, I got some happy mail today! I ordered the 4 pads of 6x6 Basic Grey paper on Peachy Cheap last week. I is all so awesome that I don't know which to use first! I'm gonna go craft while the kids are somewhat behaving. Catch yall later!

Anthony's Gymnastics

Hey yall. Yesterday was so incredibly busy that I never got a chance to post pics from Anthony's Tumblebus presentation. Here are a few shots of him in action.

The first station was at the bar. Those kids could flip all over that thing!

Here he's doing one of his rolls. I think this was the pizza roll.

The kids had to jump while they were standing on the balance beam. Not a single one of them fell!

They were in small groups. When it wasn't his turn, he just sat with his group as still and quiet as he could be. Look at how calm he looks! Any of you who know Anthony can understand why I was so shocked that he sat so still and quiet.

At the end they each received a medal and had to "ta-da" and wait until their parents got a picture. The whole thing was so cute.
I've got to go pick up my cuties from their Mimi & Papa's house across town. We had a Sunday School party last night so the boys spent the night over there. I'll have to come back later with pictures of my Mother's Day presents. Thanks for checking out the pictures and Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mail from Aunt Pat

Good morning everybody. Just wanted to share the happy mail I got yesterday from Aunt Pat. She is quite the paper crafter!

The inside had a bonus card. I've really enjoyed have Aunt Pat as a fellow paper crafter. We used to stay on the phone with each other all the time anyway, but now it's even worse! We've got Anthony's TumbleBus presentation at Bayou Gymnastics today, so I'm sure I'll be back later with pictures. Have a great day!

EDITED--Oops, I was posting ahead for tomorrow, but goofed up. Oh well, enjoy it this evening!

My Secret Sister ROCKS!

Hey yall. I'm so excited--I got my first goodie box from my secret sister today. Here are some pics of the awesome stuff I got.

Look at all the stuff!!!

Yep, those are Nestabilities you see. These are my very first set of Nestabilities and I can't wait to use them.

Tons of ribbon!

I love this altered notebook. It's all purple, which is my favorite color.

The inside has sticky notes. There is also a pen attached on a ribbon.

Look at how gorgeous this card is! She also sent some clear adhesive dots and foam dots. I can't believe all that she sent me! I've got to go on SCS and send her a big thank you now. Thanks for checking out my goodies.

Card Candy is done!!!

Hey yall. I finally finished up my green card candy and got all of the card candy packaged. Here are some final pictures before they get shipped out to California for the swap.

There are 4 packages of each color, for a total of 12 packages. They aren't due until May 20, but I wanted to go ahead and get them out. I'll be getting 9 packages back, 3 of each color (green, purple, and blue). I'm hoping they don't cost too much to mail, but I'm sure it will end up being more than I really want to pay. I guess I'm just tired of these because they took me so long.
In other news, I've done pretty good selling my Mother's Day cards. I actually sold several regular cards today in addition to the 6 Mother's Day cards. I've got 3 left, but 1 of them is spoken for, just not paid for and picked up yet. The money I made today paid for the 3 day Crop for the Cure I'm going to next weekend. Hopefully what I make tomorrow will help pay the postage. I probably should go to my desk and make a few more cards just in case more people want some, but I'm a little too tired. I enjoy providing a service that makes people smile. Ok, I'm rambling and need to get to bed. Have a good evening!

Happy mail cards

Hey yall. I've got several cards to share with you, but I didn't make any of them. The first two I received in my monthly card swap on SCS. Both of them were made by Pat in TN.

The birthday card was for April and the flower card was for May. The next 2 pictures are of the card my secret sister sent me. It is adorable!

I just love the shower curtain. I hope to re-create the shower curtain look on one of my cards soon. I hope your day is going great!

Mother's Day cards

Hey yall. I've been working all evening on some Mother's Day cards to sell at work. Here's what I've got.

Yep, I'm enjoying the Textile Texture embossing folder. This last card is the LSU version one of my co-workers requested.

I'll be back tomorrow with pictures of the card my new secret sister sent me. It is awesome! Have a good evening!
